Logistics ID Fraud Attempts Spiked 200 Percent in Two Years, Report Says
Security experts are warning that cargo identity fraud — where legitimate shipments are hijacked or replaced with fraudulent shipments — is becoming a growing concern for global supply chains. This form of fraud undermines tracking systems and allows criminals to divert or steal high-value goods while maintaining the appearance of legitimate logistics records. Analysts say that as supply chains become more interconnected and automated, criminals are exploiting gaps in identity verification and shipment authentication. Companies are being urged to strengthen verification protocols and invest in technology to better secure cargo integrity.

What Happens to Stores When AI Agents Do the Shopping?
Fifty years ago, Susan was one of more than a hundred million Americans who drove to a shopping mall an average of once a week to buy things. By 1976, a third of all retail sales happened at the mall.
Susan shopped exactly the way the mall designers intended. The department store anchors were the magnets motivating her to make the trip in the first place. The smaller shops lining the corridors between them turned her walk from point A to point B into a series of serendipitous purchases that kept the whole ecosystem humming, including a stop or two at the food court to grab lunch or dinner.
