Artificial intelligence (AI) creates efficiencies throughout various industries, from managing teams to operating businesses. A survey conducted by McKinsey found that sixty-two percent of surveyed companies are experimenting with or using AI throughout their organization.
This widespread adoption is due to key outcomes, including faster investigations, fewer false alerts, automated operational checks, and quicker support experiences. These advancements free up valuable time for users, allowing them to focus on high-impact priorities that drive greater ROI. When it comes to surveillance, AI is most visibly powering a new generation of vision language-powered video analytics, a technology that has adapted systems meant solely for security into solutions capable of identifying actionable insights and streamlining workflows.

US business inventories slightly above expectations
U.S. business inventories increased slightly more than expected in February amid a sharp rebound in stocks at wholesalers, suggesting that inventory investment could add to economic growth in the first quarter.
Inventories advanced 0.4% after being unchanged in January, the Commerce Department’s Census Bureau said on Tuesday. Economists polled by Reuters had expected inventories, a key component of GDP and one of the most volatile, increasing 0.3% in February.
Inventories increased 1.3% year-on-year in February. The Census Bureau has now caught up on the release of this indicator after delays caused by last year’s government shutdown. March business inventories will be released on schedule next month.

Four arrested after trying to pass fake $100 bills at Publix stores, deputies say
Four people are in custody on Tuesday after investigators say they tried passing counterfeit $100 bills at two Publix stores in Martin County.

During the crime, at least three suspects entered the Publix but only one was successful with paying with a counterfeit $100 bill.
‘Get back to work’: Amazon faces fresh scrutiny over workplace safety record
Amazon, one of the world’s largest employers, has for years faced scrutiny over its safety record. When Billy Foister, a 48-year-old worker, died after a heart attack inside one of the tech giant’s warehouses in September 2019, managers were accused of telling staff to “get back to work”.
When another worker died this month at a distribution center in Troutdale, Oregon, an Amazon spokesperson claimed they had collapsed from an “existing medical issue”. They denied a report that a nearby employee was told: “Please get back to work.”
